This Week at River Oaks

Multicultural Evening: What an amazing evening we had!! We enjoyed learning about some of the countries represented by our families and one of the highlights was sampling some delicious food. Another highlight was hearing the Dhol, a traditional drum from India and Pakistan, played by one of our own students, Owais.  We still have some of our cookbooks available - stay tuned to hear how you can purchase your own copy. Thank you to School Council for all their work on another successful Multicultural Evening!!

Support for The Lighthouse for Grieving Children:

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to support the Beauty and the Beast’s charity of choice, The Lighthouse for Grieving Children. Your support by stopping by to talk about services and programs, donating any loose change at the door and online donations, helped to raise awareness of this wonderful charity. Between online and door donations, the ROPS community raised $747.75! Way to go!

White Oaks Secondary School Parent Council would like to invite you all to our upcoming presentation by Claire Langridge on a very crucial topic on  "Strengthening Resiliency Through Connection" with our children. This is sponsored by the Pro Grant Fund and is free. Details are in the link below.
