This Week at River Oaks
Running Photo Slideshow for Website
River Oaks, December 5-9, 2016
Last week we had another one of our Make a Difference Assemblies. The theme was respect and equity. Leadership and Learning Skills Awards were handed out to students and Our River Oaks Leadership Committee led students through some activities. It was a great way to get together and celebrate the good things that are happening at River Oaks.
Last Wednesday several of our students had their art selected for an exhibit at Queen's Park. These students and their parents attended a reception at Queen's Park to celebrate their creations. Way to go River Oaks!
On Tuesday of this week author Kevin Sylvester will be visiting our students. We look forward to him sharing his experiences as a writer and to him giving our students some inside tips on how to be an effective writer.
The River Oaks community has continued to embrace the giving tree initiative. Thank you for your donations thus far. Last year we were able to help 17 families get through the holidays. There is still time to contribute.
Looking forward to another great day at River Oaks.
