We were so excited to welcome our students back to school virtually today. It was wonderful to see them all online looking healthy and happy!

VIRTUAL LEARNING - For the next two weeks, we will be learning online together. Although this is not the most ideal situation, we are working together as a community to ensure the safety of our students, their families and our staff. Thank you to our amazing teachers for their organization and expertise in providing awesome learning opportunities for our students during this time. Please remember to reach out to your child’s teacher, or to us in the office if you have any questions, require assistance or need support of any kind. Together we are stronger!

CHROMEBOOKS - We still have a number of chromebooks that have not yet been picked up from school. The messaging indicated that pickup began on Tuesday morning at 10 am. Individual notifications were not sent, a message was sent to the community about the chromebooks. If you requested one using our Google Form, one was prepared for your child.

RAPID ANTIGEN TEST KITS (RAT) - During the week of December 13th - 17th, RAPID ANTIGEN TESTS were sent home with every student. These tests are for students ONLY. The Ministry of Education has included information to accompany these kits for home use, when and how to use the tests.

ABSENCES - While we are learning online, it is still important to register if your child will be late or absent from school. We continue to take attendance twice daily, which means you will still receive calls from our automated system if your child is absent or late, so please report your absences.

PIZZA DAYS - Our Pizza Days will be delayed, however, they will not be cancelled. We will add these two weeks onto the end of the original dates. We are all looking forward to being back in school and having a day to look forward to, and to a day where our busy families don’t have to prepare lunch.

NEW COVID PROTOCOLS - As we prepare for our students to return to in school learning, please watch out for updates shared by the board, via email. The school will also send updates, however, the board sends this messaging first to ensure the directive is consistent.

As always, we are here to answer any questions and address any concerns that you may have. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.

For consistency, please continue to complete the DAILY COVID-19 SCREENING. At this time, the symptom chart has changed, please make yourself aware of the new protocols. We are not currently in school, however, it is important to get acquainted with the new symptoms and how and when to isolate. Students DO NOT need to pass the daily screening to attend school online, however, you may find that they may be too sick to attend online.

Let’s work together to keep our kids and our community safe.

Here’s to a safe and healthy 2022 year!

Wear your mask, maintain social distancing, stay home and be safe!
